MindsEye developers laid off as Build A Rocket Boy faces possible closure
Reports say multiple staff have been made redundant and an HR employee says he will “see BARB through till the very end.”
MindsEye developers say they have been laid off as Build A Rocket Boy undergoes another round of redundancies, Eurogamer reports.
Build A Rocket Boy, the studio founded by GTA veteran Leslie Benzies, now appears to be in an uncertain position after the fresh cuts. Polygon notes the latest round comes more than a year after the game's widely criticised launch.
IGN also reports multiple developers have said they were let go, a claim that adds to the picture of sweeping staff exits across the studio.
Insider Gaming says redundancy notices and other statements could point to imminent closure if they are accurate, while VGC reports an HR employee looking for work added he will “be seeing BARB through till the very end.”
