No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Launch Delayed to March 2027
Moon Studios says the extra time will improve performance and polish; PS5 and PC get a March 2027 window while Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S lack firm dates.
Moon Studios delayed No Rest for the Wicked's 1.0 launch to March 2027 for PlayStation 5 and PC, confirming the change alongside a new trailer.
The studio said the push will allow it to "improve performance, tighten the class system, and polish the whole game," and to bring the action RPG to "the standard it deserves," according to the announcement accompanying the trailer.
The game's initial PC early access build arrived in April 2024. Multiple outlets reported the full 1.0 release had been expected in October 2026 before the delay. Moon Studios says Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S versions are still planned but do not have formal launch dates.
Moon Studios is extending its Founders Pack offer to anyone who purchases the game on PC before January 1, 2027, and says recent buyers will be retroactively included. PlayStation 5 pre-order customers will receive a similar offer early next year.
"Let me apologize," said Moon Studios' Thomas Mahler in the studio's video message. "I hope you folks understand that this is huge passion project of ours. We have been working on the first prototypes for No Rest of the Wicked since 2016."
