Defeat the necromancer and free the world from his evil!
Necromancer Idle: The Endless Drain is an Incremental/Idle game inspired by RPGs and Roguelites. Choose between three starting classes — Soldier, Ranger or Mage — and travel through a fantasy world as you improve your skills and grow more powerful.
This demo includes the complete first chapter: the Isle of Rebirth, from the beach where you wake up to Lord Tharon's palace.
Story
The protagonist is blessed with the ability to be reborn, and cursed by The Necromancer. A curse that drains your life force, making him more powerful as it consumes your own. You will have to fight your way forward in each life until you find a way to end him and break the curse.
Progression and growth
Your stats increase as you practise them. Performing actions earns you both learned and innate experience in those skills. When you die, you keep the innate experience, so your character grows more powerful and progresses faster each time, letting them reach further. On top of that, helping certain characters or performing certain actions will let you soften the effect of the necromancer's curse. But you won't always be the one helping others — sometimes others will help you.
Decide your strategy
You will run into obstacles that are very hard to clear the first few times you reach them. It's up to you whether to grind away until you get past them, or leave them for when you're more powerful. Both routes will work, but one may be more efficient than the other.
Find ways past obstacles
Some routes are inherently awkward for a given class. You aren't forced to take that route, but the hard one may be hiding a reward for your class. You can get past its obstacles by finding an item, a skill or a spell — or with the help of another character you created.
Earn the favour of the gods
You can earn the favour of the island's god by praying at his temple, easing the effect of the necromancer's curse and gaining his blessing for the fight against the lord of the palace. You'll need all the help you can get.
Automate your progress
Necromancer Idle lets you set up a list of automated actions that are added to the action queue every time you enter a room, as long as you've already built that list. That way, when you die, your character repeats those actions, doing them faster and getting further, until it runs out of things to do on reaching an undiscovered room.
Customise your layout
You decide which information is useful to you. Set up the interface however you like. Enlarge the panels you want to see better, minimise the ones you'd rather not see at all. You can rearrange every panel to your taste.
Offline bonus time
While the game is closed, you build up time in your offline time Pool, which you can spend by running the game at x2 or x3 speed, so you don't lose a second of progress. The Necromancer won't waste it, and neither should you.
Your progress isn't lost
If you buy the full game, you can export your progress from this demo and import it to pick up right where you left off, and carry on beyond the isle.
