Train Sim World® 5: Blackpool Branches: Preston - Blackpool & Ormskirk Route Add-On

TSW Compatible content released for a previous Train Sim World® - features may remain unchanged from the original release and may not make use of all newer core features. The 1980s beckon and bumpy rides abound! Experience the infamous Pacer, and classic loco-hauled expresses, across multiple lines and popular destinations in the North of England. Just Trains make their show-stopping debut into Train Sim World® with Blackpool Branches: Preston - Blackpool & Ormskirk! Bounce your way along the Fylde Coast in Britain’s longest-serving “stop gap”, the Class 142. Designed as a cheap and temporary replacement for heritage DMUs, and derived from Leyland National buses, the “Pacer” would go on to serve regional networks for over 3 decades. Return to the days when the Pacer was brand new on local services in Lancashire, with its breezy folding leaf doors and jittery performance making it a legend for all the right, and wrong, reasons. Authentic, seasonal express services await, headed by the workhorse Class 47, offering a smoother journey, if nothing else, for those travelling between the West Coast Main Line and Blackpool. Put traction motors to the test on freight duty too, working heavy tanker trains up the partially disused Burn Naze branch line before its rails were completely lost to history. Packed with detail throughout, including clutter-laden disused stations, signalboxes with interiors, and immaculately imperfect lineside infrastructure, Just Trains’ Blackpool Branches captures the heart and nostalgia of the British Rail era, ready to be explored in Train Sim World®. Please Note: While not required, for a fuller timetable experience, including additional layers and substitution, the route makes use of the following add-ons which are available as separate purchases: • Train Sim World® Tees Valley Line • Train Sim World® West Cornwall Local • Train Sim World® Northern Trans-Pennine • Train Sim World® Spirit of Steam • Train Sim World® BR Heavy Freight Pack • Train Sim World® BR Class 31 • Train Sim World® BR Class 20 Key Features • 48-mile network from Preston to Blackpool North and South, Ormskirk and the Burn Naze line set in 1986 • Included rolling stock: • BR Class 142 Pacer DMU in BR Provincial Blue, Skipper Chocolate & Cream and Greater Manchester Orange liveries • Multiple engine and transmission variants; Leyland TL11 + SCG RRE5, Leyland TL11 + Voith T211r and Cummins LTA10-R + Voith T211r • BR Class 47/4 (with HI headlamp) in BR Blue, BR Large Logo and BR Intercity liveries • BR Class 08 in BR Blue livery (Crewe depot variant and 08744 Wigan TMD with white roof) • Mk1 BG and Mk2a TSO and FO coaches in BR Blue/Grey livery • Mk1 BG coach in BR Newspaper and Express Parcels liveries • Weathered 100t TEA tanker wagon • Highly detailed, feature-rich, driving cabs • True-to-life performance and handling • Accessible Tutorials on the Training Center • 5 engaging Scenarios and an authentic 1986 Timetable with seasonal specials • Journey Mode tying together Training, Scenarios and Timetabled Services • A selection of Route Tasks to complete • Explore the route and trains in Free Roam • Livery Designer and Scenario Planner compatible.
