Monster Hunter Wilds arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 December 4, 2026
Switch 2 edition will include local wireless play, full cross-platform online and all free title updates
Monster Hunter Wilds will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026, Capcom said during Nintendo's September 9, 2026 Nintendo Direct.
Capcom and Nintendo confirmed the Switch 2 edition will support wireless local play, full cross-platform online play, and include all Free Title Updates, and Nintendo of America added on X that pre-orders begin October 19, 2026.
Capcom had previously confirmed in June that Monster Hunter Wilds was in development for Nintendo Switch 2, but at the time declined to offer a specific release date, according to Nintendo Life.
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version open October 19, 2026, ahead of the December 4, 2026 release.
