A complete physical release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension launches on October 29, 2026, putting the base game and its expansion onto a single cartridge.
Both the base release and the Mega Dimension expansion fit onto the game card without requiring a digital download code, according to reporting from RPG Site. The cartridge is also backward compatible with original Nintendo Switch consoles, where it runs at base Switch performance levels without Switch 2 hardware enhancements.
Mega Dimension introduces extra story content set across Lumiose City via portals summoned by Hoopa, allowing players to use Pokémon above level 100 and battle with additional Mega Evolutions such as Darkrai, Magearna, and Baxcalibur. Retail copies will include a Mystery Gift serial code redeemable for 100 Ultra Balls.
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company revealed the package on September 30, 2026, but have not confirmed retail pricing.
