Don't Nod warns it could close after January 31, 2027 and may cut up to 90 staff
Studio says it needs external financing soon, according to Video Games Chronicle
Don't Nod warned it may have to lay off up to 90 staff and that it could stop operating after January 31, 2027 unless it secures further external financing, Video Games Chronicle reports.
The company made the warning in its update on first-half 2026 financials, saying there is "material uncertainty" over its ability to continue beyond January 31, 2027 without new funding. It added that necessary structural changes could include a workforce reduction of as many as 90 positions.
The notice follows Don't Nod's disclosure of its financial position for the period, and the studio said it is pursuing options for external financing to avoid closure or significant downsizing.
The studio's stated deadline for securing additional funding is January 31, 2027.
