Path of Exile 2 Version 1.0 launches December 11, 2026
Grinding Gear Games has set the full 1.0 release after the game’s Early Access period.
Path of Exile 2 now has a finish line for Early Access. Grinding Gear Games used gamescom Opening Night Live to confirm that Version 1.0 launches on December 11, 2026.
What the 1.0 launch means
The announcement is more than a date on the calendar. In its official Gamescom roundup, PlayStation says the full release will bring major new content and updates across the campaign, endgame, character progression, skills and loot.
That makes December 11 the point at which Path of Exile 2 moves from its long-running Early Access construction phase into the version the developers consider the complete foundation for the game’s next chapter. The trailer focuses on the scale of that step: new combat possibilities, brutal encounters and the build-crafting depth that has defined the series.
The game’s appeal remains the same at its core. Every expedition through Wraeclast is built around experimenting with classes, skills and gear, then turning that knowledge into a stronger character for the next fight. Version 1.0 is expected to widen that toolbox rather than reduce the game to a simple end point.
The date to keep
The confirmed date is December 11, 2026. PlayStation’s announcement specifically confirms the Version 1.0 launch on PS5; the game is also available through its existing PC and Xbox Series X|S ecosystem, but platform-specific launch details can still be clarified before release.
For players already in Early Access, the important question is how the new campaign and endgame structure will fit around existing characters and progression. Grinding Gear Games has not turned the Gamescom announcement into a full systems breakdown yet, so it is better to treat the trailer as a date reveal and broad content promise than as a complete patch-note list.
